The fawn - pinnacle of innocence and purity, receptivity and youth. When you meet the eyes of a wild animal, you see something that also lives in you. The fawn in a reminder to be gentle, disguised in a patch of wildflowers.
This one of a kind piece is thrown on the wheel from white stoneware, then partially dipped in black slip and hand carved into. I distress the slip, let it run, and embrace the individuality of each piece. After it’s carved and glazed, I adorn the piece with luster to evoke the dappled light cast through leaves of the forest, where fawns disguise themselves.
This piece holds about 12 fl ounces. Not microwave safe. It can go in the dishwasher in a pinch, but hand washing is recommended.
