This piece is a second because it’s on the smaller side, 4.5” in height, width and depth. The glaze has crazed, as pictured. A standard 4” flower pot fits beautifully in this piece.

The Rabbit is widely understood as a symbol of fertility, fecundity, and generational knowledge. I believe it’s also a grounding force, and a powerful guide to bring more of what you want into the world in uncompromising abundance.

The Black Rabbit Planter is thrown on the wheel from white stoneware, then dipped in black slip which gives a layered, atmospheric quality to its color. I carve the image by hand, and each planter is a little different.
