Raccoons - clever, dextrous, notorious for their love of garbage. One could say they’re incredibly resourceful, and full of personality.
This piece is thrown on the wheel from white stoneware, then dipped in black slip which gives a layered, atmospheric quality to its color. I carve the image by hand, and added gold luster features to enhance the movement of the slip on the piece.
This plate will come with a wire to hang on the wall, could be used as a catch-all for jewelry, or as a plate for a decadent snack.
