This salt jar is thrown on the wheel in two parts, painted with underglaze, and adorned with luster. The decals are screen printed from my original pen and ink illustrations and allow me to incorporate more detail into each image.
The mouse reminds us of the power of the unseen. Mice live hidden alongside us, in our gardens and fields, in our very walls. The influence and presence of the unseen has a noticeable impact on life. Food safe jar for salt, sugar, tea or honey. Hand washing is recommended. The jar measures 5” in diameter and about 4.25” in height.
