Black bears are mischievous, playful, strong and intelligent - but they’re also lethal predators. They roam all over the forests in Western Massachusetts, often crossing the boundaries between human settlements and forest.
This piece is thrown in two parts - on the wheel from white stoneware, then dipped in black slip. I carve the image by hand, and adorn the jar gold luster features.
This jar is food safe for salt, sugar, or honey. Hand washing is recommended. Not microwave safe. The jar measures 5.5” in diameter and about 4” tall.
