This piece is thrown on the wheel by hand, then dipped in slip, carved and fired a third time with gold luster. Not microwave safe.

The slip on this piece is very subtly variegated and the glaze has crazed, providing texture as unique as a fingerprint. You can see the tiny cracks as pictured. I consider these markings and imperfections as in accordance with the design and visual harmony of the piece.

This goblet is a second because of a crack on the bottom which does not extend the full way through the cup, and does not affect the functionality of the piece. The crack has been filled with two-part epoxy.

Eye holds about 3 fl ounces.
