This piece is a second because the rim has chipped and been repaired with two part epoxy, as pictured. This does not affect the functionality of the mug.
Duckling is thrown on the wheel, dipped in slip and carved into by hand. The slip on this piece is very subtly variegated, providing exquisite texture. I consider these markings and imperfections as in accordance with the design and visual harmony of the piece.
This one of a kind piece is thrown on the wheel from white stoneware, then dipped in black slip and hand carved into. I distress the slip, let it run, and embrace the individuality of each piece. Painted silver luster adorns the piece, highlighting the details of the image and the irregularities of the slip.
This mug holds 8 fl ounces comfortably.
